Finding the perfect ring bearer pillowthat not only coordinates with your fairy tale theme wedding but also captures the whimsy, romance and magic of your special day won’t be too difficult a task.  In fact, with so many to choose from, you mind find it tough to choose!

If a Cinderella theme suits your fancy, then choose Disney’s Cinderella inspired ring bearer pillows or the carriage charm design pillow by Lillian Rose.  If it’s the ”Happily Ever After” that you’re looking for, then choose any number of colors and designs such as the one pictured offering a simply stated ”And They Lived Happily Ever After . . .” stitched in a tricolor mix of pink, silver and orange thread.

Choosing Members of the Wedding Party

ring bearer pillowsJust a few days after my long-term boyfriend proposed to me, I was already thinking about the details of my wedding. Of course I wanted every little thing to be perfect – from the wedding favors to the chapel to the reception hall. Still, the most exciting part of the initial planning stages was choosing my bridesmaids and other people who would be essential to the ceremony itself.

It was a no-brainer that Becky, my best friend from college, would be my maid of honor. Most of the other bridesmaids were either cousins or close friends. Then, when my fiancé asked about ideas for ring bearer, I suggested my 7-year-old brother Bill. The choice really paid off, as he looked adorable walking down the aisle with the ring bearer pillows wearing his tiny tuxedo.

Having Your Pooch in the Wedding Party

dog-ring-bearerI know alot of couples who start planning their wedding and wouldn’t dream of leaving their best canine friend out of the celebration.  With the availability of pet specific wedding accessories such as a “Best Man” or “Maid of Honor” bandanna, pooch tuxes or dress costumes, and the various styles of ring bearer pillows made especially for dogs, this seems like a fun idea.

Probably the only thing cuter than your pooch strutting down the aisle in his wedding best is the competing, adorable ring bearer or flower girl (s).  Some very important things to consider before inviting your pet to the ceremony:  What type of wedding are you having (formal or country?), where is it being held (will your location allow the dog?), who will be the designated pet sitter or pet chauffeur?  Are any of your guests or vendors allergic or afraid of dogs?  For small, at home or country weddings, inviting your pooch will most likely not become a chore on your special day.  Esspecially if he is people-friendly and/or kennel trained, or someone can tote him home between the ceremony and the reception.  Be honest when answering the above questions and with yourself.  Many couples change their mind about bringing Fido after they contemplate the situation in its entirity.  But you can make your best “furry” man a part of the celebration with any of the special attire mentioned above, a camera, and a good pat on the head!

Coordinating Theme, Colors & Accessories

While planning our wedding, many of us may not consider our accessories as part of the wedding decor.  Even though mix and match is doable, it should be within the scope of the wedding theme or style.  I know I find myself overwhelmed by the many options of wedding accessories and I love so many styles! Everything from sassy and unique to sophisticated and elegant.

I began planning my wedding with the hopes of having a fairy tale wedding theme.  I was very excited to find so many wedding accessories that were embroidered with “Happily Ever After…” such as ring bearer pillows and even unique wedding guest books. But I recently found myself in a pickle trying to coordinate everything.  After contimplating my colors for awhile, it came down to ivory and gold or red and turquoise, based on the availability of coordinating items out there.  Most of the wedding accessories that I like are white.  I was lucky enough to see the ”Happily Ever After” Collection I was going to purchase at a bridal show and I noticed that the accessories are all embroidered with orange and silver thread.  Right now, I’m really just happy I decided to give myself plenty of time to browse before the final wedding plans must be made!

Bride Unites Beliefs with Wedding Traditions

rb-pillow-bibleI recently attended a wedding of a couple who had planned a musical garden themed ceremony.  They showcased their musical talents by singing their vows!

The bride and groom are members of a faith that does not believe in wearing wedding bands, so there were no rings involved in the ceremony. However, they still incorporated the tradition of including a ring bearer.  The adorable young man walked down the aisle using two ring bearer pillows stacked to carry a Bible.  Creative thinking made it possible for them to include the younger members of the party that brought smiles to everyone.

SilhouettesBloomIf I had to choose one great thing about today’s wedding world, it would be the diversity.  Finding the perfect gown, wedding accessories and bridal jewelry is a real possibility.  Although a bit overwhelming at first, you start to realize that, yes, “perfect” (what I really want) is out there.   There’s no settling for this bride!  Unique wedding accessories with personality and style that truly reflect ”you” are available to the modern bride.

Accessories that are outgoing, dramatic or sophisticated.  Truly vintage bridal jewelry set or just a vintage-look? (I’ll never tell!)  Like retro, bright colors and large flower petaled prints? I’ll bet your flower girl will look adorable in a pastel colored dress!  How about a camouflage ring bearer pillow or jet black bridal garter?  If you don’t want a traditional guest book, consider a signature picture frame or platter.  My point?  Don’t be afraid to show your style modern bride, because there’s no right or wrong on your special day!

The Right Ring Bearer Pillow

Just picture your wedding day: You walk down the aisle, meet your groom, and the ceremony begins. The most exciting part comes when the ring bearer presents the rings. Maybe you and your groom have carefully chosen rings together, or they’re a wonderful surprise. Either way, your wedding rings symbolize your everlasting love for each other and you’ll wear them for the rest of your lives. The ring bearer pillow should be something that shows off your beautiful rings so they take your breath away when you see them at the altar.

The ring bearer pillow is most often white, but you can choose from many different designs. To go along with a fairy tale theme, choose a pillow that reads, “And they lived happily ever after…” in cursive script. Personalize your pillow with monogrammed initials, or select one that is trimmed in lace or chiffon for a romantic look. No matter what kind of ring bearer pillow you choose, the wedding rings will be the star of the show.
