Recently, we have been discussing “mix and match” themes, colors and styles. Perhaps you just like a certain fairytale, childhood story or theme idea so you want to make it part of your wedding decor. Often though, especially with fairy tales, there is a very romantic, modern-day twist that you can use.
One of my favorite fairy tales is The Swan Princess. The romantic story behind the entire plot isn’t just the Prince and Princess get married and living “Happily Ever After” in their castle. Team up an outdoor wedding with a lovely lake or pond, picturesque stone bridges, rose covered archway and elegant swans with wedding accessories and decorations that state, “Today I Marry My Best Friend…” with images of child friends playing or sitting together. Or have child prince and princess programs or invitations custom made!
