Do you want a specific story for your fairy tale theme wedding?  Or are your plans just to include a few fairy tale aspects, such as the castle, princess bride and her prince or wedding accessories that state, “And they lived happily ever after?”

If you are looking for fairy tale wedding ideas, you’ll be amazed at the overwhelming amount of information out there!  Just by starting with the original fairy tales from Grimm’s you’ll find over 200 stories.  Disney of course, has turned many of these fantasy stories into animated feature movies and Cinderella is by far still the most popular theme.  Of course the other princesses aren’t far behind and there’s probably a story to fit your romance, or even wedding setting!  If you already have some of your wedding wishes in motion, look for a fairy tale theme that will match your wedding location or choose the story that most mirrors your love story.  Visit lots of blogs and talk to other brides (to be or that have wed) browse products for inspiration as well as DIY sites such as eHow.com or even google fairy tale wedding images.

Special celebrations such as weddings, anniversaries and holiday parties, really any event where you’ve got a great cake on display, should also include a knife and cake server set. 

If it’s a wedding you’re planning and you’ve purchased a wedding accessory theme collection, buying coordinating cake server sets is usually an option as well.  If you just want a simple, inexpensive cake server set without any personalization or engraving, you can pick up a nice, basic set at your local Walmart, Target or a craft shop.  If you’re looking for a special, customized keepsake or specific theme cake server set, many online bridal shops carry them.  You can often find niche items like hearts, butterflies, calla lilies, or diamond theme.  (See picture above.)  Note there are wedding accessories such as toasting flutes, napkin rings and even table decor that can be purchased to unify your event!

Making your own flower girl baskets is a great opportunity to save some money.  It’s also an opportunity to ensure coordination between wedding accessories and decorations.  An outdoor or garden theme wedding is the ideal setting for wicker baskets and decorations.

Of course, you can always buy pre-made flower girl baskets if you don’t wish to create your own.  However, for a bride with the resources and a little creativity, designing your own can be a meaningful project with unique results.  Wicker baskets aren’t that hard to come by and they aren’t that expensive. A princess dreams of meeting prince Charming and riding off with him to their castle in the sky.  Wizards, dragons, warriors and dungeons all co-exist with castles, and after all, a man’s home is his castle!  If a themed party is in your future, whether it be a fairy tale, storybook, fantasy, renaissance or a medieval one, finding the perfect castle cake topper is probably at the top of your list.

If I had to choose one great thing about today’s wedding world, it would be the diversity.  Finding the perfect gown, wedding accessories and bridal jewelry is a real possibility.  Although a bit overwhelming at first, you start to realize that, yes, “perfect” (what I really want) is out there.   There’s no settling for this bride!  Unique wedding accessories with personality and style that truly reflect ”you” are available to the modern bride.

Accessories that are outgoing, dramatic or sophisticated.  Truly vintage bridal jewelry set or just a vintage-look? (I’ll never tell!)  Like retro, bright colors and large flower petaled prints? I’ll bet your flower girl will look adorable in a pastel colored dress!  How about a camouflage ring bearer pillow or jet black bridal garter?  If you don’t want a traditional guest book, consider a signature picture frame or platter.  My point?  Don’t be afraid to show your style modern bride, because there’s no right or wrong on your special day!
