Flower Girl Baskets fit for a Little Princess

Perhaps you are a princess bride-to-be having a fairy tale theme wedding, or maybe you want to find a basket that fits the personality of your flower girl. Most girls love to pretend they are a beautiful princess and the gift of a fairytale basket to carry down the aisle will help this fantasy come to life for her!
Simple and elegant, either of these flower girl baskets will coordinate with nearly any color theme. However, they are both part of an entire collection, so if you want all of your wedding accessories to spell out your “Happily Ever After”, then here are two options for you. But best of all will be the gift that makes your flower girl feel like a little princess!
Unity Candle Ceremony or An Alternative?

You may be trying to decide on whether or not to include a traditional unity candle presentation at your wedding ceremony or opt for one of the more modern takes. Of course, it is your day and the decision is yours, but here are a few points to take consider.
Nothing is more breathtaking then a traditional unity candle ceremony taking place at the alter at a beautiful church wedding. (As long as your location will allow open flames!) There are hundreds of candle styles to choose from, so finding the one that suites your style, wedding theme and even family situation is not a problem. Bonus, you can keep the unity candle for years to come!
A sand ceremony also has many options in containers, as well as sand color. Bold colored sand is available for a sea-side wedding. A sand unity ceremony may be the perfect setting for an outdoor, garden or destination wedding. The downside is that sand may not transport very well, but the vases and containers purchased to hold the sand ceremony may be personalized with your names and wedding date, a lovely keepsake to display in the newlyweds home!
Choosing a Wedding Cake Topper
With all the choices and decisions that go into planning a wedding, the wedding cake topper may seem like an afterthought. When you’re worried about the flowers and the caterers and finding a dress, the plastic people on the cake is the last thing on your mind. But wedding cake toppers are an important part of the presentation, and need just as much thought as everything else.
When choosing a wedding cake topper, think of it as a memento from one of the most important nights of your life. Toppers aren’t just made from plastic anymore – many of them come in crystal, porcelain, metal, glass, or acrylic. You should also consider the entire theme of the wedding before choosing a topper, and make sure that it fits your cake (both literally and figuratively) before you make a decision.
2010 Wedding Cake Tops Are “Picture Perfect”

As the new year rolls in, so do some incredibly adorable and unique wedding cake tops! This “Picture Perfect” cake topper may remind you of the ”picture perfect” couple or perhaps a stylish addition to the wedding cake presented at a vintage theme wedding or anniversary party.
I can see this figurine as one of many wedding cake tops in 2010 ideal for the engangement party or rehearsal dinner dessert cake. With it’s formal, yet versatile look, it may possibly just be the “picture perfect” cake topper at your special event!
Not A Traditional Fairytale Castle Cake Topper

What’s more fairy tale dream wedding come true than a castle cake topper? Personally, I think the cake top pictured here called, “True Romance”! Arriving in 2010, it’s a non-traditional fairy tale wedding cake topper - but what’s more story book romance then the lovely display of this cake topper or centerpiece of a bride leaping into her lover’s arms?
Perhaps not the traditional castle cake topper you may see at a Cinderella themed ball or Princess bride’s wedding, but certainly a modern take on a traditional cake topper picturing “true love” . . . and one to be admired forever after.
Fairy Tale Wedding Cake Toppers

A dream come true fairy tale wedding means different things to different dreamers, but when it comes to elegant, exotic or humorous fairy tale wedding cake toppers the choice is yours!
Some may prefer the “traditional” castle in the sky approach, “classic” Cinderella or the more “romantic” princess bride kissing the frog prince. Personally, I find the contemporary ”To Have And To Hold” cake top which represents a tradition with a twist, humorous and fun!
Tis the Season to Introduce New Cake Toppers

This unique cake topper may reflect your man’s true personality, whether he’s the ultimate couch potato, a gamer at heart or a guy who just can’t part with the remote control! This is one of many new cake toppers for the 2010 wedding season.
Perhaps it’s not the ideal cake top for your formal wedding reception, but can’t you just see it on the Groom’s cake or at a bachelor/bachelorette party as a cake top or centerpiece? I also saw a picture of it used on a hand-made wedding invitation. Very clever, humorous and a reflection of the couple’s true style.
2010 Brings Even More Uniquely You Accessories

Never have grooms-to-be been more involved in the wedding planning process then they are today! Some of the things that makes it “more interesting” for them is unique wedding themes, fun favors and personable cake toppers. At one of my bridal shows, Bride-to-be Lindsay commented, “…to see Cameron’s (groom) face light up like it did when he saw that ice hockey cake top was adorable. He’s been a real trooper helping me plan our wedding, but he truly enjoyed browsing through the unique favors and sport theme cake toppers. Of course, that hockey wedding cake top will make a presence at our wedding one way or another!”
At this recent exhibit, I was showcasing trends for 2010. The addition of many more unique wedding cake toppers are at the beginning of the accessories list, but I am particularly fond of the many new ways to display keepsakes after the big day. This cake stand pictured above will hold your uniquely you cake topper and a picture to put the memories to wherever you choose to display it.
How a Memorial Memento Can Fit Into a Wedding
In addition to all the more traditional items like a wedding unity candle, there are items available to include a loved one who has passed on in your special day. This is particularly important to many brides and grooms who have lost a parent, sibling or beloved grandparent prior to their ceremony.
Keepsake candle holders bearing the names of your loved ones can be present on the altar as you speak your vows, accompanied by a photograph or photographs if you wish. At a wedding I once attended, a seat was left empty for the purpose of holding a large framed photograph of a groom’s mother, which had been carried into the ceremony by an usher with a rose. It was a small gesture, but also meaningful for the entire family. Many guests noticed this touch and made positive observations about it at the reception.
Why Not A Custom Cake Topper?
Have you considered a real “personal” touch to the cake topper at your upcoming special event? Engagement party, wedding reception or as a brilliant anniversary party addition, a customized cake topper can bring real personal character to your celebration!
You can opt for a custom cake topper with a humorous caricature design of the couple or a lovely sculpture more like the traditional bride and groom figurines – only they actually resemble the newlyweds! Imagine anniversary parties to come with a celebration cake, topped with the ”real” couple captured in time!
