There Are Two Sides to Every Wedding

wedding ceremony decorationsWeddings can be separated into two distinct parts – both equally important but very different in terms of mood and setting. The wedding ceremony itself is often a formal affair where guests are expected to stay relatively quiet and to snap photos of the bride. Wedding ceremony decorations are sometimes kept long afterward as keepsakes of that special day. Then, later in the evening, the reception is a whole other story.

Wedding receptions are typically more lighthearted and informal. There are still a number of ritualized practices that unfold – including the best man’s toast, the cutting of the cake and the father-bride dance. Beyond that, guests are encouraged to mingle and enjoy a celebratory meal. Both sides of the wedding are important and time-honored, but most would agree that the reception is a bit more fun.
