Make It Your Own Unity Candle
There are hundreds of ways to make sure that you end up with a one-of-a-kind unity candle that is truly your own. Depending on how much effort you would like to put into it and how “artsy” you are. Today we are discussing a traditional wax unity candle, but feel free to explore all the other options for unity ceremonies!
Of course you can buy your unity candle from a wedding shop and have it personalized with your names and wedding date, but what about buying a pillar candle making kit and really putting your love into it? Or, for the budget conscious, perhaps you have or buy a pillar candle from your local store and just want to dress it up a bit? With an engraved medallion tied on with ribbon (pictured), you can personalize ANY candle or container for your wedding ceremony. Personalized ribbon (available in just about any color!), lace, jewels or charms and a hot glue gun will do the trick. What about taking a plain white or ivory pillar candle and adding colorful material and / or flowers that matches your wedding decor and turning it into a lasting keepsake? If you would like the unity candle to last AND be able to burn it, consider purchasing an oil candle.
